SPF it up!

Being exposed to UV rays without protection, increases the risk of sunburn and skin cancer. FACT. The Body Shop and Boots have you covered with a great range of products that you can use as part of your daily beauty regime and go that one step further to offer SPF protection on top of their regular benefits.

Leave your hat on

You don’t have to be lounging about on the beach to feel the effects of the sun on your head – the reflective surfaces of the city streets can seriously turn up the heat on your daily commute, so head to New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Joy and Next for the perfect trilby, floppy or fedora.

Loosen up!

Cool, lightweight, loose fitting clothing is essential if you want to stay comfortable in the scorching sun and if your summer wardrobe needs the addition of a few footloose options, pop in to Dorothy Perkins, New Look, Next and Joy, for the season’s must-haves.

Give your feet a treat

There’s nothing worse than tired, aching feet after a day out in town… oh wait… HOT, tired, aching feet seriously top the charts!! – which is why we LOVE The Body Shop’s Peppermint Cooling Foot spray – a must have for the summer months!

Stay hydrated

Whether you’re walking the streets or taking the tube, it’s easy to dehydrate without realising it, so stop off at Victoria Place and call in to Sainsburys, Pret, Costa, or Whistle Stop for your trusty bottle of H2O – on the go.

When Harry wed Meg There’s nothing to get us brits feeling more patriotic than a good old Royal Wedding. And after all the excitement of Will and Kate’s nuptials just seven years ago, (we say ‘just’ – it actually feels like only yesterday that we were all cooing over her stunning dress!) we’re still riding the crest of that Royal Wedding wave."
Posted on May 18, 2018

And now it’s time for us to see Harry wed Meg and we couldn’t be happier! Never has there been a better excuse for a little street party or knees up with friends – YAY!

In the meantime, there are plenty of questions we want answers to – like, NOW! Notwithstanding the identity of the all-important dress, we’re also wondering if Prince Charles really IS gonna walk her down the aisle and just what sort of hatastrophy the Royal cousins will be rocking up in THIS TIME…

Well one thing’s for sure, if you want answers, there’s only one way to find out, unless you’re making your way down to Windsor in person. With LIVE coverage starting at 9am on BBC One and 9.25 on ITV on the big day, there’s plenty of time to get set up before the ceremony kicks off at midday. And if you’re hosting your very own Royal Wedding party, then we’ve got the party essentials covered at HEMA and Sainsbury’s, while New Look have gone all-out patriotic with their charming Royal Wedding collection to ensure you look the part.

And as an added bonus for our transatlantic guests, anyone presenting their US passport at Ed’s Easy Diner on Saturday 19th May will enjoy their main meal completely FREE!

The trials and tribulations of Bank Holiday Travel - Solved Oh, yes – the Bank Holiday weekend is nearly here! If that means you’re jetting off for a well-earned break, lucky you! Or if you’re off to South West Four at Clapham Common, exploring London’s sights or even visiting old friends and family elsewhere in the UK, fingers crossed for a bit of sun… Either way, the Bank Holiday usually means one thing – a fair bit of traveling."
Posted on August 21, 2017

Rather than despair at the thought, with all the planned travel disruptions – embrace it! Because with any journey that goes near London Victoria, we can help make your time on the tracks go with a swing.

First up, Victoria is one of the unaffected stations this Bank Holiday, but it’s likely to be a little busier than normal – with travellers avoiding hic-ups elsewhere. So our top tip to avoid train travel-induced traumas this Bank Holiday is simply to give yourself extra time.

Fortunately for you, Victoria Place makes the perfect pit stop if you happen to find yourself with a bit of extra time on your hands. Whether you’ve just enough time to grab a drink on the go, or a bit more time to sit and relax, there’s a great choice of restaurants and cafés.  From Nero, Costa and Pret A Manger to Leon, Tortilla, Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo and Café Rouge to name but a few – there is something for whatever takes your fancy.

Forgot those much needed travel essentials?
From toiletries and cosmetics at Boots, to magazines, books, headphones and more at WHSmith. Plus all your fashion essentials at New Look, Next, Joy, and Dorothy Perkins – Victoria Place has you covered.

The main London Stations affected by this weekend’s planned upgrade works include Waterloo, Euston, Liverpool Street, London Bridge, Paddington and Charing Cross. So if you’re visiting The Rugby League Challenge Cup at Wembley, the football, Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Creamfields, Carfest, Notting Hill Carnival, The Edinburgh Festival, South West Four, Clapham or any other big event in and around our glorious capital, it’s worth planning ahead.

Find out more about the planned works.
