Kings Cross – St Pancras’ Renaissance Hotel ‘Meet the Widow’ Party. Friday 27th October 7pm.

Kick off your visit to London in style. Victorian style, that is. Step back in time into the eerily classy Café Manouche and dance the night away to gothic jazz. But beware, there are rumours of the chilling ghost of Madame Cliquot making an appearance.

Euston – Wellcome Collection’s ‘Medicine Man’ Permanent Fixture.

Something for the morbidly curious. Step back in time and marvel at the weird and wonderful past of bodily health. With areas dedicated to Napoleon’s toothbrush to items including everything from diagnostic dolls, we can guarantee you’ll recoil in horror at Henry Wellcome’s graphic exhibition.

Warren Street – Pollock’s Toy Museum Permanent Fixture.

It could be cute… or it could be your worst nightmare. Lose yourself in six of the slightly unnerving rooms filled with Victorian toys galore. This family run establishment, created in the elegant 50s, is eagerly awaiting your arrival.

Oxford Circus – Regent Street Cinema’s ‘To Hell and Back’ 30th October, 7:30pm.

You’re in for the long haul… join fellow horror fans for an evening of terrifying shorts and movies on the big screen. Don’t forget, your ticket will include live performances, Q&As with the filmmakers and even a free prosthetic make-up session! It’s bound to be a scream.

Green Park – ‘The Ghouls of Green Park’ Permanent Fixture.

Do you dare to stroll in Green Park? There’s a plethora of haunted activity in the area – most famously at the ‘Death Tree’. Locals report seeing many morbid figures haunting the area. Why not explore the local haunts for yourself? We wouldn’t recommend going at night…

Victoria – The Apollo Theatre’s ‘Wicked’ Permanent Fixture.

There’s no place like home. This is the Wizard of Oz, but not as you know it! In this show-stopping musical, you’ll be bewitched by the powerful performances. Sit back at the Apollo Theatre, relax and sing along to your heart’s content, to theatre favourites like ‘For Good’ and ‘Defying Gravity’. You’ll be in for a wicked night!

AUTUMN: ALL CHANGE! Brrr! With a distinctly nippy chill in the air, we’re sure you’re already reaching for your creature comforts to see you through winter, and let’s face it - nothing says ‘autumn’ like a Pumpkin Spiced Latte. But at Victoria Place, we’re serving up so much more!"

Tortilla’s Breakfast Burrito packs a serious punch at any time of day – brimming with sautéed potatoes, caramelised chorizo or vegetables, free-range scrambled eggs, black beans, cheese & pico de gallo salsa that leaves you feeling both satisfied and energised.

Pret’s chefs have been working overtime to deliver an autumn menu bursting with flavour – from breakfast right through to tea, they’ve got it covered. We’ve got our eyes on their ham and spinach omelette for breakie and are seriously torn when it comes to their hot food pots – from coconut chicken curry to chicken, edamame and ginger broth to their lasagne macaroni cheese – yum! And don’t even get us started on the sweet treats…

Prezzo have updated their seasonal specials with some mouth-watering Italian treats. From Giant Meatballs and Stuffed Baked Mushrooms among others on the starters to Roasted Salmon Fillet or Penne Rusticana, a range of delicious Pizzas and more for the mains, plus a warming chocolate brownie for pud!

Razzle dazzle
Chainmail, sequins, and crystals galore. This season’s evening wear is all about the sparkling razzle-dazzle.

Roses are red
ALL Red. This season’s hottest trend isn’t about just a little splash of crimson – oh no! Go, red to toe and slay in this fiery colour.

Suits you
Slim cut and nipped in at the waist – suiting has made a seriously stylish comeback this season. If you haven’t invested in this trend yet, now’s the time.

The trials and tribulations of Bank Holiday Travel - Solved Oh, yes – the Bank Holiday weekend is nearly here! If that means you’re jetting off for a well-earned break, lucky you! Or if you’re off to South West Four at Clapham Common, exploring London’s sights or even visiting old friends and family elsewhere in the UK, fingers crossed for a bit of sun… Either way, the Bank Holiday usually means one thing – a fair bit of traveling."

Rather than despair at the thought, with all the planned travel disruptions – embrace it! Because with any journey that goes near London Victoria, we can help make your time on the tracks go with a swing.

First up, Victoria is one of the unaffected stations this Bank Holiday, but it’s likely to be a little busier than normal – with travellers avoiding hic-ups elsewhere. So our top tip to avoid train travel-induced traumas this Bank Holiday is simply to give yourself extra time.

Fortunately for you, Victoria Place makes the perfect pit stop if you happen to find yourself with a bit of extra time on your hands. Whether you’ve just enough time to grab a drink on the go, or a bit more time to sit and relax, there’s a great choice of restaurants and cafés.  From Nero, Costa and Pret A Manger to Leon, Tortilla, Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo and Café Rouge to name but a few – there is something for whatever takes your fancy.

Forgot those much needed travel essentials?
From toiletries and cosmetics at Boots, to magazines, books, headphones and more at WHSmith. Plus all your fashion essentials at New Look, Next, Joy, and Dorothy Perkins – Victoria Place has you covered.

The main London Stations affected by this weekend’s planned upgrade works include Waterloo, Euston, Liverpool Street, London Bridge, Paddington and Charing Cross. So if you’re visiting The Rugby League Challenge Cup at Wembley, the football, Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Creamfields, Carfest, Notting Hill Carnival, The Edinburgh Festival, South West Four, Clapham or any other big event in and around our glorious capital, it’s worth planning ahead.

Find out more about the planned works.
